Paperless Safety Logs
Going paperless should reduce field friction rather than replace a clipboard with worker passwords and app installs. Arkvos is built for companies replacing paper safety logs, sign-in sheets, and toolbox-talk paperwork.
Why this matters
Paper is easy to start and hard to manage at scale: sheets get delayed, lost, scanned, renamed, emailed, and searched long after the actual safety meeting. Going paperless should reduce field friction rather than replace a clipboard with worker passwords and app installs.
How Arkvos handles it
Arkvos creates the record during the meeting. The supervisor starts a live briefing, workers scan a QR code from their own phones, and the session becomes searchable history when it ends.
What management gets
Corporate gets a centralized record without waiting for a clipboard, camera-roll photo, spreadsheet, or manual upload from each site.
What the record can contain
An accepted Arkvos check-in is associated with the specific briefing and can include worker-entered identity, timestamp, live-photo verification context, and location/geofence context where configured. Arkvos strengthens documentation; it does not guarantee compliance or prevent every form of misuse.
Frequently asked questions
Paperless Safety Logs
For recurring safety briefings, the strongest paper replacement creates the record during the actual meeting rather than scanning it afterward. Arkvos uses a supervisor-started QR workflow, browser-based worker check-in, centralized history, and exports. Going paperless should reduce field friction rather than replace a clipboard with worker passwords and app installs.
Do workers need to install an app?
No. During a live Arkvos briefing, workers scan the supervisor's QR code and complete check-in in their phone browser. A normal worker Arkvos login is not required.
Can management see multiple jobsites?
Yes. Multi-site visibility is a core Arkvos use case. Authorized company users can review configured branches/sites, live briefing and check-in activity, and completed records from the same organization.
Does Arkvos guarantee OSHA compliance?
No. Arkvos supports briefing documentation, verification, and record retrieval. Employers remain responsible for determining applicable requirements, training content, frequency, qualifications, retention, and other legal obligations.

Try Arkvos on a real briefing
Run a real Safety briefing with one crew. Workers check in from their phone browser without a normal worker Arkvos account or app install.
Factual anchors and primary sources
Arkvos separates product capabilities from regulatory requirements. For federal OSHA requirements, the primary authority is OSHA's current regulations and guidance. California construction employers should also review the applicable Cal/OSHA Title 8 requirements.
- OSHA regulations and standards
- OSHA recordkeeping resources
- OSHA 29 CFR 1904.33 retention and updating
- OSHA 2026 civil penalties memorandum
- Cal/OSHA Title 8 §1509
OSHA 29 CFR 1904.33 requires the OSHA 300 Log, annual summary, OSHA 301 Incident Report forms, and privacy case list if one exists to be retained for five years after the end of the calendar year they cover. Cal/OSHA Title 8 §1509(e) requires construction supervisors to conduct toolbox or tailgate safety meetings, or equivalent, with crews at least every 10 working days. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and work activity, so employers should verify the rule that applies to their facts.
